Lecture Dates: May 14, 21, 28; June 4, 11, 18

Lectures Description:

Archaeology of ancient times opens up much of what life was like and illuminates many of the stories of the Bible. But, there is often so much archaeology to sift through, particularly in some of the major cities of the Middle East, that one can easily get overwhelmed by how much information exists. Instead of considering places like Jerusalem, this course will examine many of the cities outside of Jerusalem, such as Megiddo, Elephantine, and Dan. These other locations together build a comprehensive picture of life and events in days and cultures that existed thousands of years ago.
